Succeed in Self-Publishing: Become an Independent Publisher

Self-publishing is the process of printing and and selling your book or other written material yourself, instead of going through the traditional route of soliciting publishers to consider accepting your work. Self-publishing is also a business, where you manufacture and sell a product for a profit.

Although it is possible to pay a print-on-demand company to coordinate the various aspects of publishing a book, a true self-publisher is an entrepreneur who formally sets up a business enterprise to publish one or more titles. A self-publisher is also called an independent publisher.

The purpose of these lessons is to provide you with the basics on starting a self-publishing business, such that you can become an independent publisher. If you have any questions, send us an email.
