Mini-Quiz: Getting the Idea of a Business to Start

by Ron Kurtus (revised 5 December 2009)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. Why do many businesses evolve from a hobby?

They don't, because there is no money in hobbies

Because there is passion and involvement in the hobby

Most who have time for hobbies are unemployed and looking for work

2. If you want to open a restaurant, why check out others in the area?

To see what is offered and the demand for eating out in the area

To copy their menus and offer their popular dishes

To ask for free samples of their food

3. How should your idea be different than your competitors?

You just need to be in a different location

It is best to copy competitors in every way possible

Your idea should provide something your competitor doesn't provide

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion Entrepreneur. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.
