Google Adsense Unit Sizes

Google Adsense provides a variety of Ad Unit and Link Unit sizes. You can select the appropriate sizes to accommodate the design of your web page. You can also see what size and format Units would fit in our pages.
Note that Google allows a maximum or three Ad Units and/or three Link Units per page.

Ad Unit sizes
Adsense Ad Units are direct links to advertiser's website. The are available as text-only, text and image and image-only.
Recommended Ad Units
Google Adsense recommends the following four Ad Units.
Since it does not fit in our page columns, the 728 x 90 Leaderboard is at top of the page. It is typically an image-only Unit.
The actual sizes of the other Ad Units are:

Link Unit sizes
Link Units simply consist of one or two words, indicating a link subject. When clicked, they show a listing of Adsense lists, which can be clicked to go to the advertiser's website. You can have four or five links in each Link Unit.
Since it does not fit in our page columns, the 728 x 15 Link Unit format is at top of the page.

You can see where the various Ad Units and Link Units will fit in within your web pages.
Our lesson pages
The left column in the present page format is 140 px wide with a left padding of 20 px. Thus, only a 120 px wide ad can be used in the column.
The main column is 640 px wide, allowing for every Ad Unit, except the leaderboard.
Subject pages
The third, right column is available in the main subject files. That could be expanded to 160 px.
